This fascinating documentary tells the story of how a small group of Yale college students formed a private air force in preparation for America's entry into World War One. It became the founding squadron of the U.S. Naval Air Reserve and was the first air combat unit in the Great War. Narrated by actor Bruce Dern this dramatic account of their exploits was filmed on three continents over a seven year period. Based on the book by Marc Wortman it traces the little known origins of American air power. The author and members of the production staff will be on hand to discuss the film.
